Braun BC22
Braun BC22
The BC22 traces its silhouette to the AB 2 clock Dieter Rams designed for Braun in 1984, distilled into a compact analog alarm clock built for a nightstand or a suitcase. Luminous-tipped hands and the brand's signature yellow second hand keep the dial legible without needing a light — until it's genuinely dark, at which point a continuous backlight kicks in automatically and fades once the room brightens.
A crescendo beep alarm builds gradually rather than jolting you awake, with a snooze/light button placed for half-asleep fumbling. A quiet precision quartz movement keeps the whole thing silent enough for a bedroom.
