Faber Castell 9000
Faber Castell 9000
The Castell 9000 has been the reference point for graphite pencils since 1905, made in Germany from finely ground graphite and clay bonded the full length of the wood casing. That full-length bond is what makes it break-resistant — the lead survives drops and rough sharpening that would snap a cheaper pencil.
Available across 16 hardness grades from 8B to 4H, it covers everything from soft, dark shading to fine technical linework in one continuous system, sharpening cleanly to a fine point every time.
