HiChord turns chord playing into a one-button action: pick a key, and the seven main buttons map automatically to the chords that fit it using the Nashville Number System, so it's genuinely impossible to hit a wrong note. A joystick modifies each chord live — adding 7ths, 9ths, suspensions, or flipping major to minor — turning static chord triggers into an expressive instrument.

Underneath is a real synth engine: 12 oscillators, 2-op FM synthesis, and sample playback across 28 chord types and 10 scales, run through a 96kHz DSP. A 6-track looper with quantize, undo/redo per track, and a built-in mic for sampling turn it from a toy into an actual songwriting tool, all inside a CNC aluminum body barely bigger than a deck of cards.
