Teenage Engineering
A vocal synthesizer that records speech parameters — pitch, envelope, formant — rather than raw audio, then resynthesizes them through eight distinct voice characters for vocoder-style effects. A built-in microphone or 3.5mm input captures up to 120 seconds across 15 sample slots, with the 16th slot reserved for a single-voice instance of the PO-32 Tonic drum engine for basic rhythm support.
Eight onboard effects and transpose/scale-change controls let recorded vocals be pushed well past their original character, and the same data-transfer system as the PO-32 lets custom drum patches load in via audio burst from the desktop Microtonic plug-in.
