The Super Nt applies Analogue's FPGA approach to the SNES and Super Famicom — an Altera Cyclone V chip configured to behave precisely like the original Ricoh 5A22 CPU, not an emulator running on general-purpose hardware. That distinction means full compatibility with the roughly 2,200-game SNES/SFC library out of the box, with zero added input lag.

Original-style controller ports accept real SNES peripherals without adapters, and 1080p HDMI output modernizes the picture with scanline and scaling options for CRT-style presentation on a modern TV. It ships with an unreleased "Director's Cut" of Super Turrican, expanded specifically for this hardware.
