Created specifically for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar rather than adapted from an existing model, the Murph became the movie's most consequential prop — the watch central to the film's climactic plot device — and was later brought to market after years of fan requests. A hidden detail carries the reference through: the word "Eureka" is printed in Morse code on the seconds hand, visible only under a watchmaker's loupe.

The Hamilton caliber H-10, an ETA-based automatic movement, delivers an unusually long 80-hour power reserve, and a 42mm stainless steel case with sapphire crystal front and back keeps the exhibition caseback visible. The first production run shipped in a limited-edition box designed by the film's own production designer, Nathan Crowley.
